I need to deploy Office 2013 to approximately 4000 PC's using Kace. I have the package built but concerned about the bandwith while deploying. Is there a way to set it so that only X amount of machines get the deployment at a time then as one finishes the next one starts? Or should I do it in groups?

I try to limit my deployments to 500 or less and don't have any bandwidth issues. Admittedly, Office 2013 will be a pretty big package (700+ MB). Are these machines all in one location? If they are not, have you considered using replication shares to deploy the package locally for all your machines?

  • This is going to be to multiple sites and each site already has a RS with the package synched.
    • Your K1000 will still be impacted when the machines Inventory to kick off the process so I would still stagger the deployments.
