Deploying a scripted install, I get unable to mount KBOX share...

First time using this Kace k200 it is trial version, but I am trying to get some knowledge, to help sell it to the company. Any help would be great.. scripted install of Win 7 x64.. I went through every step in the guided tour.

Two things I can think of that might cause this issue:
1 - If you changed the password on the Driver/Restore Share under Settings & Maintenance --> General Settings --> Driver/Restore Share Password you will need to rebuild your KBE environments using the K2000 Media Manager and setting the Host Logon Password to match.

2 - Check the system date/time on the machine your imaging, we had issues with a couple machines not able to connect to other Windows Machines if the time skew was to far off, I don't know if the K2000 shares are affected the same way but worth checking.

Comments:
  • Could having an XP Pro image on the machine conflict if I am trying roll out a new windows 7 pro install?? Neither 1 or 2 ansers above were it. I appreciate the response anyways - Deltronz 12 years ago

When you get this error, if you type in ipconfig, do you have an IP Address? If not, this is a network driver issue.

Check to see if the PC has those media card readers in there. I've had it on a few HP desktops where the drive letter has already been assigned to one of the media card readers and KBOX can't mount the share it needs. Simply disconnect from the motherboard and it should work.
