Dell Updates inactive in Kace Express v12

Hello!

We use KACE Express v11 to manage our Dell Bios/Firware/etc updates.  We are seeking to upgrade to Kace Express v12.  However, the Kace Express 12 vm we have downloaded errors when we attempt to access "Dell Update Schedule" from the dashboard.  The error reads "Access Denied: Prohibited by license. (RF_ADMINUI_DELL_UPDATES)".

Anyone seen this before?

Appreciate any help!

Hey Chris, 12.1 came out yesterday and has bug fixes included, maybe try to apply that patch and see if it resolves..

  • Appreciate the pointer. In KACE when I attempt to update the appliance, I get a "K1000 version up-to-date." message even though I'm on 12.0.149. I tried downloading the update from https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/12.1/download-new-releases but am getting a licensing error ("Our records indicate that your account has not purchased KACE Systems Management Appliance and we will not be able to process your request at this time."). I also tried adding my Express license to support.quest.com, but the license won't validate :-| Any other thoughts? - chris@websolutions.com 1 year ago
