I'm testing the Dell updates with the K1000 on a few Optiplex models and getting mixed results. I've gotten the patch to allow all Dell updates to be downloaded. A few machines have gotten all updates, but most get one or two updates out of 4 or 5 they need. It's set to run each day at 2am and the Current Phase shows Completed for each day it has run (5 days now), but the Update History shows some items without any icon (history jpeg attached). Inventory for these machines looks ok.

Any ideas about what I can check next? Thanks.

  • We have a very similar issue, and have been working with KACE for a couple of months on this, but we still have no solution as of yet.

    One thing that we did, though, to see what was happening was check inside of c:\programdata\dell\kace\dell and see if any files are being generated, you should see the exe packages for the dell updates, but sometimes there's more. For us .part files were being generated.

    Don't know if that helps find the problem, we're still waiting to hear back from the KACE engineers as well.
