Dell Latitude 2110 System Image Problem

We have been using the K2200 imaging system to push system images down to our fleet of laptops and netbooks. Recently imaging the Dell Latitude 2110 laptops has become a hit or miss proposition. They will image for a random time period then hang on a file and not process any further. We can repeat this multiple times and then the machine will just suddenly image fine. We are not having this problem with any other model we are imaging. I have tried updating the hard drive and network drivers in the boot environment. I have tried pushing up a new image with our master 2110 and still have the same image deployment issue. Has anyone else run into this issue, if so how did you resolve it. I'll be happy to give more info if needed.

How many machines are you imaging at a time? Does this happen if there's only 1 being imaged?

  • It doesn't matter if its one or ten. Each one can freeze up on a different point when deploying down to multiple machines at the same time. This is the only model out of the 7 laptop types we have that does this. - sdnbtech1 12 years ago
