Dell Kace: Mac Warranty End Date?

I'm certain someone figured this out, but for the newest version of Dell Kace 1000, v. 6, how can I obtain the Applecare/Mac Warranty expiration date?

  • It that information isn't stored in a place the KBOX can look via the WMI or custom inventory rules, you are going to have to manually add it to the KBOX in the Assets Module for the Computer Table. Currently only Dell products are being pulled automatically for expiration dates. - nshah 9 years ago

There is a website that you can use to look up the information.

https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

It looks like you might be able to build a custom query:

  • Thanks, but how would I script this into Kace? - ems296 9 years ago
    • Check out the shiny new blog post: http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/mac-os-x-custom-inventory-return-warranty-information - MacDude 9 years ago
      • Do you know where in the SQL database this stores the results? I'm trying to run a report either via Dell's reporting utility or SQL on the info from this script in the custom inventory fields where it displays in Kace. - ems296 9 years ago
      • The fields for Custm Inventory are available via the reporting wizard at the end of the second page (field election)

The Table is MACHINE_CUSTOM_INVENTORY - MacDude 9 years ago
