Dell Kace Asset Update

I am trying to do a massive update for all of our assets, I have split up into smaller asset types. I have also created various csv's containing all of our assets but I am trying to upload our small asset tracking of Mobile Devices. I exported the original file and modified the file and now i am trying to import the assets back into Kace. I am prompted on step 3 of 4 with a "select User Key"  I have only 3 options , User ID, User Name, and Email ID. I have tried all three options but all 78 devices are being rejected. We are on Kace 7.0. I have also exported out the User Table from Kace in attempts to correlate my problem to that but I don't see it.

Any assistance to that would be great.

  • Do you have a user field defined within your import CSV then? - Hobbsy 7 years ago
    • I am having the same issue. The assets import fine until I select the {Assigned User} field then it rejects them all. What are we doing wrong? I see this is from two months ago.... was there no solution? - TruckNorris 7 years ago
  • My CSV contain following assets, (Asset name, the Asset Unique ID that i am trying to update , User, Brand phone, Model Phone, Serial Phone, IMEID, Wifi Mac, Users Email, Status of the Asset (Active or Suspended), Comments.

When I attempt to upload it is asking me to Select a user Key. I have also tried inserting the usernames email address and LDAP login username but no luck. - MiguelT 7 years ago

The error stopped happening after updating to the latest K1000. I think this must of been something strange with my tables as I used the same CSV and everything updated without any errors.
