Dell acquires Kace

Dell says it will purchase Kace Networks, a maker of systems management appliances, which the vendor hopes will reel in more midsize business sales.

The acquisition - for an undisclosed amount - is expected to close during Dell's first fiscal quarter.

I don't foresee any issues, but anything can happen. According to KACE, they are basically going to be a subsidiary of Dell. The plan is to keep all employees and processes. KACE will be a Dell company, but I'm hopeful that the management of the product will be untouched.

There are no new changes planned as a result of the acquisition. If anything I'm very hopeful that this will be an opportunity to give AppDeploy more attention and exposure. I see only a positive impact for AppDeploy [:D]

Crazy, this news popped up via RSS and I was completely blown away (as in I didn't expect to be reading a headline with Dell & Kace). Congrats and I hope this works out well for everyone involved.
