Custom ticket rule for "Date" custom field

I am looking for a way to restrict what dates a user can select on a "Date" custom field. For example, I want to only allow them to select dates that are 5+ days from the current date. I imagine this would have to be done via a custom ticket rule. Has anyone set up anything like this?

You can't do this using the standard date function in the KACE ServiceDesk, as soon as you select date as your format for your custom field it will then pop up a calendar and the user can select any date before or after.
