[custom inventory]multiple values from one registry key
Hi All,
I`m trying to get infot custom inventory field multi values from one registry key. Data get into that field but on one line. How to make it into separate lines?
My custom inventory rule:
RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\INTEL\iAMT SCAN DATA, AMTSetupStatus, TEXT)
RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\INTEL\iAMT SCAN DATA, AMTVersion, TEXT)
RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\INTEL\iAMT SCAN DATA, HECIVersion, TEXT)
RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\INTEL\iAMT SCAN DATA, LMSVersion, TEXT)
RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\INTEL\iAMT SCAN DATA, UUID, TEXT)
And I get custom inventory field as:
1) Intel AMT scan: In process AND 3.2.20 AND 3.2.20.1046 AND 3.0.10.1053 AND 4C4C4544-004C-4710-8056-C3C04F34334A [string]

Don't know. sounds like an enhancement. Is this something you will report on? You can manipulate the string in the SQL depending upon the end target. ... e.g. <BR> or \n

One solution would be to create a separate custom software inventory item for each of the registry keys, so they are listed individually in the Custom Fields section. Would be a few extra steps, but should work fine.

Another idea would be to create a "dummy" registry key with the delimiter you want to use (say " " or " - ") and reference that key in between each of the keys you are targeting.

If I was you then I would make a script that split up the multi value script into seperate reg entries and then do inventory, I dont know if the data changes very offen but you could just run the script at user logon if it does
