Commenting a custom action
Hi,
I have got a Vendor MSI.One custom action is throwing error 2762.
I have found the custom action in custom action table (All Custom action),but it is not present under Normal Custom actions tab.So we are not being able to comment it.
Is there any way to comment a custom action in MST through custom action table?

2762 means that the CA is in the wrong place. http://itninja.com/question/help-with-msi-1336
Bounce the MSI back to the vendor. It should never have got through QA.
If you are obliged to work with it:
If you mean 'comment-out' rather than 'comment', you can use a direct editor like Orca or InstEdit (no favouritism with me!). Locate the CA in the InstallExecuteSequence table and either move it so that's it's correctly located or, if you want to comment it out, add '0' to the 'Condition' column for that row in the table.
Needless to say, as this is a vendor MSI, you should do this in a transform, not the original MSI.
