Client Push failing
Hi,
Right we have decided to re configure our firewall and use client push as a method of installing the k1000 agent.
Now I am recieving this error message
Creating service
Opening pipe to service

Sending commands
Commands: msiexec /qn /i \\k1000-srv-1.test.co.uk\client\agent_provisioning\windows_platform\ampagent-5.3.47657-x86.msi HOST=k1000-srv-1.test.co.uk

The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
exit code: 1612ERROR: smb_raw_read_recv - NT_STATUS_PIPE_DISCONNECTED
ERROR: on_pipe_error - NT_STATUS_PIPE_DISCONNECTED
Removing service
OpenService - NT_STATUS_OK
StopService - NT_STATUS_OK
DeleteService - NT_STATUS_OK
CloseServiceHandle - NT_STATUS_OK
CloseSCMHandle - NT_STATUS_OK
Connecting to ADMIN$
Deleting service file
Disconnecting ADMIN$
STEP 3: PUSH SCRIPT\PROVISIONING - FAILED
Any ideas?
I can navigate to this share so that cant be the problem

Can you run msiexec /qn /i \\k1000-srv-1.test.co.uk\client\agent_provisioning\windows_platform\ampagent-5.3.47657-x86.msi HOST=k1000-srv-1.test.co.uk as the user provided in the provisioning task?

When you ran that manually was there any user account control interaction? If so then the provisioning will not be able to bypass that. Make sure that UAC is disabled.

Sorry I didnt read your post correct. No there wasnt any user interaction. It was completly silent

I'm using Avast as my security, does this have any effect on my installation?

paulahendricks : I'm not familiar with Avast, but any product that will intercept other commands or files, etc could be an issue.
mac456: i suggest opening a ticket so we can troubleshoot in more detail.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in responding. Tried on a different client and it worked and the same with a few others. Not sure whats going on with this client but all is good now.
