Clear Asset Management Database -start over

Is there a way to clear all the computer assets in the asset management portion of the K1000 and just let it re-import the currently known machines to build a new cleaner database.   I find that I have several duplicate computers by name and data is not lining up and I have not used the Asset management portion but would like to.

You should be able to delete the computers from the inventory and then that will also delete them from the assets. If there are any remaining then place a check mark next to them and delete the selected items.

  • I think that is the problem. Computers deleted from the inventory in the past may be lingering. I was just wondering if I deleted all the computers under the asset section would they be repopulated by the active computers in KACE. - bwilkerson 11 years ago
  • They should repopulate by default. You may also want to configure the MIA setttings from the inventory page to remove computers that have not checked in the last xx number of days. - Timi 11 years ago
