Citrix Receiver 3.x socks/proxy setting. I need to set the socks or proxy without modifying default browser settings

I VPN Into my corp network. I use a proxy server to connect to citrix. I don't use a proxy for my network or to access the internet. The only way I can connect to citrix is to set my Socks server in the Internet Properties, connections, LAN settings, Proxy server, Advanced, and set the socks server and port. If I have that setting there, I can connect to citrix and use my apps. I can NOT connect to any internet site or work site. I have too many to set an exclusion for each site I'd need to get to.

So my question is, can Receiver be set, to pull the proxy info from somewhere else besides the default internet settings? I was told the ica adm template would work. I set that up to no avail. Nothing I do seems to work aside from setting the default internet settings. This seems like it's a broken application, but I've reinstalled many times, rebuilt my windows 7 pc from scratch and still, same problem.

I've tried receiver 3.2 or 3.4.
Windows XP and Windows 7
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
