Change HKCU Registry Components Path

Hi Guys,

I have an MSI which updates several registry keys under the current user. The problem is, the MSI is deployed through a third party tool that runs under the local system.

As a work around, I want to update all the HKCU settings to point to HKEY_USERS\SID..etc. (user will be the builtin admin account). I am looking at the Registry table and the Key column where I would have expected to see the HIVE location (HKCU in this case) however that information seems to be stored elsewhere. Any ideas? Need a rather quick answer to this.

You might REALLY want to look into advertising (for MSI self-heal) or Active Setup for this issue. This looks like a textbook candidate for it.
