Can you search Asset history?

I'm trying to find a way to search asset history and am unsure if that is possible or not. Using advanced search that field is not an option to search on. Ideas?

You can write a custom SQL report to show asset history. The reason it isn't a field to search on is because the KBOX interface is displaying info from the ASSET table on the Inventory page - the data isn't really in Inventory at all.

  • FYI this will only work on 5.3 and earlier. ASSET_HISTORY structure was changed in 5.4 for the better so that you do not have to parse the DESCRIPTION field as much as you once did. - GillySpy 11 years ago
