Can we use image Windows 7 file .iso to deploy with K2000?

Dear All,

Can we use image Windows 7 file .iso to deploy with K2000? I mean we would like to have standard application under the same image file .ISO to deploy with K2000? please advise me.

You can capture an image with the K2000 of a sort of "base image" with the OS, and any programs you want on it. Then you can script the installations of any additional programs to install later on if you need.

 

Check out this guide, starting at the end of page 94 it walks you through capturing an image. This might help.

You upload the windows 7 disk to the k2000 and create a scripted installation, you can push any other software installs as post tasks or with the k1000.  An alterante method is to create a base image on one system, install your software, sysprep that image and capture it as a .wim file or kimage.

Use the format you made from other imaging software, install on a machine, Sysprep it, then use K2000 to Capture the whole image and upload to K2000>System Images. Once it’s ready as a System Images> Deploy to multiple machines.

Remember not to install an Agent on this machine, as SMal.tmcc mentioned, you have the option to use K1000 Software Deployment or K2000 PostInstall Tasks.
