can we push the SMA agent via VPN

We have about a hundred laptops members of our domain but off site working via Cisco Anyconnect. We are new to KACE and  would like to push the agent out to them. Can we do that over VPN?

  • Do you have any other tools to execute tasks or installs?

One option may be GPOs if you can do that. You could build a schedule task to check for the software on the machine, and deploy if its not there if the source path for the MSI is accessible (while on VPN). It could run every hour or however frequent you want.

If you can get the clients to execute the MSI using the correct arguments you want, then you should not have any issues doing the install remotely. You will want to be sure your KACE SMA is accessible through your firewalls using the rules/scopes you want. - mtatro 3 years ago

Hello,

Seems possible if you have a defined VPN IP range, set this IP range in your Target IP adresses in your Agent Provisioning Scheduler
