Can KACE SDA automatically sync to the RSA?

We're currently doing manual syncs before we try run deployments from the RSA.  We waited a few days and compared the versions on SDA vs RSA and the RSA had not updated automatically.

Is there a setting that will do a once daily sync to make sure that if another site makes an edit to the SDA that we always get the latest packages and scripted installs?

yes, there is a setting:
Go in your SDA (not the RSA!) UI to:
Deployments | Remote Sites | <RSA of your choice > | Update Scheduling

  • That’s perfect. I thought that was an automatic check for patches/updates. That makes way more sense.

    • a new KACE version needs to be deployed differently. Best practices is downloading the next version from quest directly (the automated process with staging is randomized so you can be delayed) and after the system is updated you can find the step to update here as well. It is better that way to have full control. The Update Schedules are for updated images, drivers etc. - Nico_K 2 years ago
      • Yeah, I just misunderstood the purpose there. IT brain went to Upgrade = Major Revisions, Update = Minor Revisions. As soon as I read your first reply, I realized my mistake. Thanks! - zsgibbs 2 years ago
