Can I restore a 6.3 appliance backup to a 6.4 one?
Hi guys, I was wondering if I could restore a 6.3 appliance backup to a 6.4 one or if I need to restore it to a 6.3 appliance and then update.
I did try doing that but if it can be done I have no idea how to do it.

Unless someone says otherwise, I am 95% certain you can only backup from an exact version match.

you are only able to restore the backup to the very same version.
Additionally between 6.3 and 6.4 the database has been changed, so it is much harder to do this.
If you know and understand databases you are able to extract data from one and put it into another, but that is not a trivial project.
