I am working with Mfg. provided *.msi file and the Mfg. *.msi file has a pre-req. The pre-req is also a *.msi.

Can I use ORCA to modify necessary table/rows of the main app *.msi, to
(1) include the pre-req *.msi and
(2) execute the pre-req *.msi before the main app install with the proper msiexec install parameters.

Do you have a software deployment tool available for you to use such as Altiris or SMS? These provide the ability to install dependencies before the main app is pushed out.

You could use the AppSearch tables and write into your MSI Script, but checking dependencies through your deployment tool is MUCH easier. If you only have ORCA at your disposal, I wouldn't even bother attempting it. Way too tedious and it will take a lot of expert level effort.
