I can't log into Kace 1000 with MySQL workbench. It tells me the password isn't correct but I can create and odbc connection and connect into the d/b via excel. Strange? Any see this before?

You should have a Read account in Kace. If you use something like Heidi or MySQL workbench you will be able to look at the tables

You can set up an ODBC connection, you will need a mysql 64bit driver  to set up the data source

Try from here https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/

Once you have this installed you need to set up the connection

For default settings the DB is ORG1
The user is R1
and the default p'word is usually box747 although you should probably reset this within the settings>General Settings area of your K1

Once you have configured the connection you will be able to see all of the tables etc
