bluetooth dongle adapter
hi,im trying to set up bluetooth on my 98 se computer.i get error 1723 and told a dll is missing.does anyone know how to get a dll off the recovery disc?or possibly an alternative method.i do not want to do a clean install as i have too much to find again.please help.

bluesoleil 2.6.0.1 release 070402 installer information.
error 1723.there is a problem with this windows

A wild guess; seems there is a requirement for an existing DLL on your machine while a custom action is being executed.
Install the MSI with verbose logging and try to find out which DLL it requires.
msiexec /i <path to .MSI> /L*v C:\verbose.log
If the log can't tell you which maybe ProcMon (Process Monitor) from Sysinternals/Microsoft can give you a hint.
