Considering the confusion I had with the earlier version it may be better to recommend downloading the MySQL Workbench 5.2 version using this URL instead:

There are many changes from MySQL Query Browser to MySQL Workbench. After creating a connection (Database menu's Manage Connections...) it is not as obvious as to how to use that connection...

Never mind -- MySQL Workbench version 5.1 lacks many features and 5.2.16 beta is much better.

I've just added a section to the beginning of the article which explains how to configure the KBOX for remote database connectivity. I don't know why that part slipped my mind while writing the article - probably because it's one of those "set it and forget it" type of things. [;)]

On a KBOX 1200 with multiple organizations the remote database configuration steps are very similar. Instead of logging into the admin console log in to the system console: http://yourkboxhostname/system (or systemui). Then go to Organizations and select the organization to edit. After that it's just like the General Settings shown in your article.
