Beyond Compare for MSI

I want to compare 2 MSI files side-by-side. I thought I could use the Beyond Compare utility to do that. But I can't figure out how to do it. It displays garbage. It seems like BC can't read MSI files. I checked the File Formats that it has, and .msi is not one of them. Any tips?

Download InstEd from www.instedit.com, load one of the MSI and then select the "Compare To..." option from the Transform menu and select the other MSI to see that changes.

Hi AngelD,
Thanks for the tip. I've downloaded it and will take a look at it. However, I really like how Beyond Compare is layed out so I'll contine to try and figure out how to get it to read MSI files. My guess the problem is the MSI file is "compiled" and BC can only read Souce Code, not compiled programs.

Me too like BC however I think you will like how InstEd displayes the difference rather nice too.
If you are used to ORCA there should be no problem understanding InstEd. When you have opened the other MSI from the Compare To option you will see the changes in green.
