Abandon the script-driven approach, it's completely unnecessary.

Create a transform with the options set in it. The two main tools (Wise and InstallShield) will create what are known as response transform quite easily. Other tools, like Orca/InstEdit can also create transforms but you would need to dissect the package's dialogs to obtain the property names "behind" the controls, an exercise which isn't for the faint-hearted.

there is no msi in the setup.exe
I am trying to customize the rightfax 9.3 prereq wizard installation
I have customized the rightfax 9.3 client installation ie in the setup.ini (cmdline= /qn ??????)

before I run the client installation I need to run the pre req wizard installation.

I need to automate the options as i tick along

cheers

Check with rightfax to see what command lines they support. We got a doc from them at my last client and deployed it no problem.
