appwiz.cpl hangs after uninstallation
hi,
I'm facing a problem in uninstalling my product using the Add remove programs. After a seemingly successful uninstallation, the Add remove programs window freezes. I am using an MSI created using Wise for Windows Installer and a setup app that launches the MSI. I stepped through the setup app code and it ended without any complaints.
This problem is observed only in Windows XP. In Vista, it works fine. Any idea what's wrong?

Problems with AppWiz.CPL are almost always due to registry problems. There was MS's nice bug in one Office (?) release which caused pages and pages of white space to appear in the list of installed programs, for example.
Use ProcMon. That'll tell you what's going on.
