AppV Sequener Question & Re-Sequencing an application

Firstly , in 4.6 sequencer , is there a way to type in my appv server and port , so I dont have to edit it after I sequence it. I know softgrid/4.5 appv I could capture all these details before saving the sequenced files. Its a pain I could do with out. I sequenced the app , save it , then Ive got to edit it , and put in my appv servers details and port. !

Also , I have an application that needs a dll/exe file change every month or so. I dont want resequenced the full app each time this happens - but when i edit the application , I cant figure out how I can remove the old files , drop in the files and resave it. I had thought it would reload the folders/files on to my Ql: drive on my sequcneing pc - Any ideas ?

Hello,

See this article regarding templates;

You can add / remove files using Windows Explorer. If you want to delete a file - simply right click it and choose delete while you are monitoring

Hi Fergie,

When you say you're 'editing' the application, this may be a clue - you will need to 'Open for Upgrade' rather than 'Edit' since edit does not give you the ability to monitor the file system.

As stated above - you need to open the package and start monitoring again.

How are you trying to achieve this?

If you have already sequenced the application, then you can open for upgrade, and while in the monitoring phase, delete / replace the files you need to update and then stop monitoring, then save the sequence again.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
