Plus now it is harder to know what you are talking about. Anyways, it doesnt make sense. If you already have prepackaged .msi's then just send them out through sms. You can't have more than one instance of msiexec running at a time, so it will be hard to run an msi that calls other msi. I think I am correct on this?

Thanks,
Ty

Your wrong. msiexec can and will run more than one instance.
And. You can nest/chain msi's using a CA. But like VBScab said, it is not recommended. And in this instance, chaining msi's to install VS 2005 would probably end in tears.

i am able to incorporate two or more in the wrapper msi but not able to nest the transforms for the msi's for which msi is wrapped.
Anyone has any solutions for that?????

nest the transforms
You have to use embedded transforms.
Add the transform to the stream for the MSI it should apply and then use "TRANSFORMS=:MyEmbeddedTransformname" when calling the MSI.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
