Some of my agents aren't sending inventory updates, they just go beyond the checkin time I have set. The amp connection works and I can send the script to update the inventory but the system doesn't seem to be tiggering inventory updates.

Are you running 5.4.5?  We have been noticing that since we have upgraded to 5.4.5

  • Can you see anything suspicious in agent logs? Also, check the server log.
  • I upgraded to 5.4.5 and am also having this issue with half my agents, I went through the agent troubleshooting and everything is set properly. I think it's a problem on the K1000 server itself.
  • Check you message queue from the Settings->Support tab and see if there are tasks which are stuck on your machines which are not uploading inventory

    If they are running from long time or are stuck , try removing them from the message queue.

Yes we are running agent and server 5.4. I called support there was a number of clients that were stuck in the task queue (under task under progress for more then 10 minutes). By deleting those tasks in the queue, the other clients were able to check in. I'm now monitoring that queue for any jobs that take longer then 10 minutes.
