Adobe Reader 10.1.2 rollback

Adobe Reader 10.1.2 successfully deployed, quickly followed by the go-live for a 3rd party vendor app that doesn't work with it.

Using Adobe Customization Wizard is the documented methodology to perform a rollback.

Why is the option to remove Remove previous versions muted out on the Cust. Wiz. X? The documentation clearly specifies the intended function.
Customization Wizard X instructions:

"Remove previous version.
Note: Removes any existing installation of Acrobat Reader 6.0 or later during the install."

However this is not happening.

Adobe is silent on this question, has anyone successfully rolled back Adobe Reader X via deployment that can help me with some specifics?

Thank you!

I can't say for sure but, at first blanche, I'd say that the relevant words areduring the installThat is, while installing v10.1.2, it will uninstall any previous version between v6 and v10.1.2.

Surely the 'UninstallString' registry entry is what you need to...er...uninstall it?

uninstall string is the first thing I tried. There are items it is not cleaning off that i haven't been able to lcate, presumably this is why Adobe provides the packager which gives you the option of automating their uninstall during a version change.

They released a patch to fix 10.1.2 printing http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/928/cpsid_92870.html
