Adobe Acrobat STD/PRO 9.0 deployment issue's

Hey people,

We are upgrading from 5.0 to 9.0 which is a rather big step for the users here at the company.
Nevertheless i have been instructed to make a package for the Novell Zenworks system we use here and i have come a long way on this package.

The main reason why im having a problem is that the custom Wizzard for 9 isnt released yet, this may solve allot of issue's with allot of people.

The package im running isnt altered in any way so the Source is "CD-clean". i have read the http://itninja.com/link/adobe-reader-9
and found out the file inside the userprofile really works, so i made an entry in Zenworks to compensate for that.

The other options considering the EULA and startup are NOT working for me, and this is the part i actually needed the most cause we have like 600 users that will be running the package.

Does anyone have any idea how to make the EULA keys work, of perhaps alter the package to compensate?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

NOxxie

Hey there,

I actually downloaded it today and made my life a whole lot easier.

One thing though...

After installation the product is perfect with the registration and EULA stuff.. but i can't actually make PDF's.

The error message shows me that it doenst has Access to the file :

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\standard.joboptions

I noticed the file is read-only and doenst have any correct rights.

As user i can access the folder, but can't change it, i also gave the user more rights but this didnt work at all, the error persists.

the error can be duplicated with opening the Acrobat Distiller, and use the option "edit Adobe PDF Settings" througth the Settings menu.

Anyone having the same issue?

1st Edit : Found ALLUSERS stuff in the LockFilepermissions Table. gonna remove that and see how it reacts.
2nd Edit : Key's on removal didn't help im back to the drawingboard here. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Deploying with Zenworks but also by hand to test.

Finaly,

Been on vacation a while and had a little brainwashing while being in a hot country for once.

The problem i posted here is solved due to the following fact :

The Language your OS is in and the numbers / currency information will addapt. to your installation. This is for the example English (USA) in a Dutch(netherlands) setup.

If you install Adobe 9 standard and pro as English, your OS is on english USA the installation will work but the PDF Creator will not work. Once you switch the Language from your workstation to Dutch(netherlands) the distiller will work instantly.

Something to do with the "good old" Decimal Seperator and such.

NOxxie out, just updated so other people can find there solution since the Adobe forums is kinda swamped with this too.
