Adding Registry Rights

Whats the best way to add rights to registry keys (and sub keys) in Admin Studio?

Avoid using the LockPermissions table: it doesn't allow you to edit the ACL but replaces it, meaning ALL the groups which currently have access need to be added to the table. Basically, it's a right royal PITA.

Create a Custom Action (CA) to call a command-line tool like SetACL or SubInACL. Some prefer to use SecEdit: each to their own, I say.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
