Adding a Watcher(s) to a ticket

Multiple ticking systems out in the wild (Jira, Service Now, Fresh Service and more) are able to add one or multiple people on a ticket as a watcher.  I am wondering if this is currently a feature that I am missing or something that is close to this functionality we could use?

You can add other users to the ticket CC List, so they get a ticket update notification email.
