Add Asset-Category to new Asset Type
Hello, we are using KACE in Version 9.0.270 and want to add a new type of Contract to our Assets. So we duplicate an existing Asset Type : 'Contract - Software' with our manual added fields in a new Type 'Contract - Building'. So the duplicate looks good, but when we want to add a new contract on the contract site, the new 'Contract - Building' is not shown as Contract Type.
I think it is because of the missing category. When we check the database in tabel org1.asset_type the Field Asset_category should be filled out with 'Contract' but is empty on the copied item. There is no chance to set this category over Kace, whether over the database (Database because of no rights to change)
Does anyone have an idea how we can get our new Contract Type to be shown as a Contract ;).

This is currently working as designed. The list under Choose action menu on contracts page is fixed. You could rename one of the existing contract types and use it if not being used but there is no ability to add a new asset type of category contract.

So actually just badly designed then? or not quite thought through as to how to practically a customer will use asset management.
