Acrobat X disable updates via push

I want to stop updates to acrobat X as it keeps asking clients to update to 11.

Try using the Adobe X Customization Wizard - there is an option in their to disable updates.

If you already have Adobe X installed you can push out this registry setting

KeyPath = "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockdown"
ValueName = "bUpdater"
dwValue = 0

I'm not sure if you're referring to Adobe X Reader or Adobe X Acrobat, but I was tasked w/ pushing a script to disable Adobe X Reader updates.  Here is a link to my blog post:
