K1000 5.4 upgrade

Hi,

I'm thinking about upgrading our 5.3 k1200 to 5.4 in the new year. I'm wondering if anyone has hit any snags with the appliance upgrade? I noticed the post on large database files and I'm wondering if there are any other hiccups that I should be aware of?

Cheers,

M

There are a couple of checks that the upgrade goes through to complete successfully.  It won't hurt anything if it fails and it will show why it did in the logs.  Support can get the issues resolved for you.

Once upgraded, there are several patches that possibly need to be applied.  They cover patching, assets, machine actions and metering.  If you have issues with one of those things, chances are you need to contact support to get those patches applied.

They will be added to 5.4 SP1 which is expected around the end of January.

Make sure you follow all recommended steps. Document all settings and export any custom reports or scripts and assets. Also make an off the box kace backup. If all steps are followed and you are prepared then it should be fine.
