24H2 Update Deployment Help
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone here using the KACE SMA has had any luck trying to push out the latest Windows 24H2 feature update? Our organization has followed the steps listed from Windows 11 24H2 Upgrade Deployment Walkthrough (4377615) while Quest comes up with a way to fix the feature update deployment option. It has not gone as smoothly as we had hoped as several devices fail to update.
I have followed steps from Failed Windows Feature Update (WFU) for Windows 10: How to find blocking components? (4323407) to try and remediate features such as the Print to PDF and XPS features which seem to block the upgrade. Even with creating scripts to turn these features on and off, some devices still fail to upgrade to the newest version.
What are other organizations doing to get around this issue? Or, if any, what is the best alternative for deploying these updates?

The most luck I have had so far is to disable those Windows optional features using the script, and also changing a setting in the KACE SMA under Settings > Provisioning > Communication Settings. I changed the process timeout setting from 1 hour to 2 hours. That seems to have fixed some of the issues I have been having. I will let you know what I find out! - ITTECH3000 2 days ago
