2010 KACE Konference [SOLVED]

Anyone have any info on the 2010 KACE Konference? We would like to start sucking up to the Boss as soon as possible! [:D] We missed the 09 one as we had just obtained our KBox’s. I watched a couple of the videos online and it looked to be very informative and interesting.

This is the body of an email sent out from Wynn White at KACE on 12/22/2009:

"With the days of 2009 quickly coming to a close, please don’t forget to budget for the 2010 KACE Konference. While we’re planning to return to San Francisco in November, the date and location will be finalized shortly and a notice sent out in the New Year. Please set aside budget now. Costs are anticipated to be the same as last year:
• $795 – Two Konference Only
• $1295 – Konference and One Day Boot Kamp
There is a reason that more than 90% of 2009 Konference attendees said they plan to attend again in 2010 or recommend a colleague do so. Konference offers a unique opportunity to learn from KACE experts and peers through presentations, hands-on, and networking how to more effectively and efficiently manage complicated IT environments. Budget now and start planning your 2010 Konference participation."

The 2009 Konference was great! I'm sorry you missed out on it. I don't expect to see a date for the 2010 Konference until late Spring. I believe they announced the 2009 Konference last year in about May or June.

errinf,

Thanks a lot for the Information. At least that is something to go on. That actually looks pretty cheap. What does the Boot Kamp consist of? You can never learn to much!

They had several boot kamps in 2009. They offered a couple advanced courses - I took the advanced database course. There were about 6-8 classes overall, I believe. The boot kamp is definitely worth the extra day and few hundred $$$.

airwolf,

It looked like it was great by the videos. I wish we had purchased our equipment sooner so that we could have attended the 09 Konference. By the time we even thought about it, it was too late. That would have been great to see some hands-on stuff right off the bat. It was also nice to put faces with some of the KBox support staff.

Meeting the staff was great. I met several technicians that had worked with me on support tickets. KACE loves customer feedback, and it was great to interact directly with the development and support teams. I highly recommend the Konference to anyone who is serious about harnessing the power of the KBOX in their organization.

I wouldn’t mind an extra day! [:D] It would be nice to learn more about the database. That would have been a great course. I defiantly want to learn some MySQL. It would be nice to be able to create custom ticket rules. I just recently started learning scripting. That has made my life so much easier! I am glad to hear that the Konference is worth attending. I think we will be joining the 2010. Thanks for your feedback!

If you ever need help writing custom SQL rules, post your requirements and what you've come up with so far here on the forums and I'll gladly help. I've already written hundreds of custom rules and reports for our KBOX.
