I recently worked out a way to get more information from our McAfee antivirus through Kace.  

Getting the Virus definition Dat Date into Kace as a custom inventory field

  1) Create a New software record called McAfee Dat Version (or whatever you like) and select all the Windows OS

   2) Make a custom Inventory Rule  looking for the registry value RegistryValueReturn(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\AVEngine, AVDatDate, REG_SZ). It should look like the picture below

 4) Now when Kace agent checks in it will populate the custom inventory field with that information, just like below

5) You can now run reports off of the date to find the machines that don't have the latest McAfee DAT definitions to see how compliant you are.
