ManageSoft, The Software Management Company(tm), today announced that Lend Lease Corporation Limited (ASX: LLC), one of the world's leading real estate services companies, has selected ManageSoft 7.0, including ManageSoft Security Patch Management(tm) and ManageSoft IT Business Intelligence(tm), as part of a strategic IT initiative. Lend Lease will use ManageSoft 7.0 to transform PCÂ’s across its distributed worldwide network into self-healing devices that will streamline IT service support and desktop software application delivery as well as protect the company against the crippling effects of computer viruses and worms. Lend LeaseÂ’s deployment of ManageSoft is an important component in its Project highRISE initiative, through which Lend Lease will redefine the boundaries of its technology infrastructure to create greater collaboration with its customers, suppliers and partners.

After an extensive evaluation process that included several competitive vendor solutions, Lend Lease selected ManageSoft because of its automated security patch management and extensive inventory management capabilities, as well as its ability to quickly and easily integrate with its existing infrastructure. ManageSoft 7.0 will be fully deployed in August across 10,000 devices in more than 40 countries on both Linux and Windows environments.

"We quickly down selected to a few solutions that met our RFP criteria. Only a few of the vendors were able to meet it," stated Jay Skibinski, global chief information officer for Lend Lease. "At the end of the day, we want a solution that delivers on speed, quality and cost. ManageSoft demonstrated the most value and functionality 'out of the box'. The experience and commitment of their professional services team was also a key factor during our decision-making process."

ManageSoft IT Business Intelligence 7.0 will help Lend Lease deliver intelligent, automated analysis to managed desktops, servers and mobile computers, enabling devices worldwide to automatically adapt and self-heal to respond to changes and comply with centrally-defined IT policies. ManageSoft ITBIÂ’s executive analysis and reporting features and ability to scale to a global environment were also key factors in the purchasing decision.

"As we have been changing aggressively through acquisitions and divestitures, we needed a scaleable and flexible solution that could help us globally manage the complexity of our expanding infrastructure and provide us the ability to conduct robust patch compliance and security management," said John Miles, chief security officer for Lend Lease. "We found ManageSoftÂ’s solution to be the most technically sound in terms of its architectural design and ease-of-use right out of the box. In addition, ManageSoftÂ’s professional services and support team has been outstanding, enabling a scheduled global deployment in just three months."

"Lend Lease was looking for a software management solution that could tackle its complex desktop and IT asset management needs on a global scale," said Walter Elliot, CEO for ManageSoft. "Because ManageSoft is able to deliver business intelligence to managed desktops, servers and mobile computers throughout the organization, Lend Lease is able to effectively extend the boundaries of its worldwide business and create a more transparent environment with its customers, partners and suppliers."

The ManageSoft 7.0 suite, which includes ManageSoft 7.0, ManageSoft for Windows Deployment 7.0, ManageSoft IT Business Intelligence 7.0 and ManageSoft Security Patch Management 7.0, enables IT organizations to automatically deploy, update and manage business critical applications for fixed and mobile computers located anywhere in the world. Unlike server-centric products that introduce critical-points-of-failure into an enterprise IT infrastructure, the ManageSoft 7.0 client-centric architecture enables managed devices to dynamically adapt to changes in the IT environment through its policy-based management. A modular, integrated solution, ManageSoft 7.0 includes the necessary building blocks to enable companies to transform computers into self-managing devices, allowing organizations to choose the functionality they need now and add capabilities over time.
