RepliWeb Deployment (R-1) accelerates production rollouts of customer content, .NET applications and core web server configurations throughout Hostworks' managed service infrastructure

COCONUT CREEK, FL - February 5th, 2009 - RepliWeb, a leader in application infrastructure software for web and application deployment automation, today announced that Hostworks, one of Australia's leading managed service providers, has standardized content replication operations throughout its datacenter with RepliWeb Deployment (R-1).

Hostworks delivers critical hosted business applications, online e-commerce, and online media solutions to some of Australia's largest companies. Hostworks implemented RepliWeb R-1 to streamline the deployment of customers' web content across dedicated servers and to accelerate Hostworks deployments and updates of custom web applications and IIS components.

Peter Reuter, Hostworks' manager of technical operations commented; "As an MSP, every customer has a unique environment and each requires a different approach. Once your business grows to a certain point, it becomes very difficult to track, manage, and distribute frequent and large quantities of customer content updates in a timely and cost-effective manner. When you operate at the scale we do, those processes need to be automated. RepliWeb provides us with the flexibility to meet very demanding SLAs by delivering dynamic, real-time content to our customers' users in a number of different ways."

Prior to implementing RepliWeb Deployment, Hostworks utilized a combination of scripted and native O/S solutions to distribute updates to over 500 hosted servers. This "patchwork" approach was limited by a number of critical shortcomings; they required significant manual intervention, were time–process intensive, did not guarantee content delivery, and failed to provide essential reporting functionality. These issues resulted in high operating costs and made it increasingly difficult to meet demanding SLAs. Hostworks realized that a purpose-built web deployment solution would allow them to more effectively meet customers' needs, decreasing time to market and providing a competitive advantage.

Hostworks selected RepliWeb Deployment (R-1) to automate content replication and deployment, resulting in a significant decrease in the time required to implement changes on live servers. "R-1 has exceeded all of our expectations," said Peter Reuter. "It has become a critical part of our infrastructure and we value RepliWeb as a trusted IT partner."

"RepliWeb earned its stripes with Enterprise IT, and over the past eighteen months, has earned the respect of highly demanding service providers such as Hostworks" says Garrick Herrmann, RepliWeb Vice President. "Our RepliWeb Deployment product helps to meet demanding SLAs by guaranteeing delivery, maintaining content continuity, and providing unparalleled visibility into deployment processes. For our MSP customers, the ability to lower operating costs through automation is also very compelling."
