i have an app that installs the client piece directly from the a mapped drive.

i have an app that  installs the client piece directly from the a mapped drive...  i  will need to capture the installation in an MSI ...also the app needs to be installed via the system account.  The system account will NOT have the drive mapped prior to the launch of this install.  The system account also does not have access to the network.Once complete, I should be able to complete the install under the system account without any drives previously mapped or access to the network.

currently using adminstduio and sccm 2012 in our enviroment

*URGENT HELP*

Soooooooooo...in what way does this app differ from any other app, other than the source media? Just capture the client install to an MSI!

EDIT:
Please remove the duplicate posts in which you included the entire text in the 'Subject' line. Thank you.

  • From what I understood when asked to do this .... Was that the client will not have access to the drive like I have nor would the mapped drive be available .... Isn't then soo that when the msi is launched it will then ask for the mapped drive or not - ninjadeen 11 years ago
  • Just capture the app like your normally would, it wont ask for a mapped drive when the msi is launched. Like VBScab said, its no differnt from a normal capture. - rileyz 11 years ago
