Note

If using the Altiris Deployment Server you have to add the error code 3010 and tell it to continue. The code is saying the system needs to reboot to finish and if you don't handle it your job will report as failed.

For 1.0.1, I installed directly from the .exe:

VMware-player-1.0.1-19317.exe /s /v"/qn ADDLOCAL=ALL ALLUSERS=2 REBOOT=ReallySuppress"

del /f "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop\VMware Player.lnk"

Note
This is an msi package wrapped in an exe. You can't extract it from the exe from you can create an admin install ...

Start > Run >
"VMware-player-1.0.1-19317.exe" /a

This will give you the msi pacakage.

Create the MST file using Wise InstallTailor, or use ORCA to edit the Property tables as you wish.
