LICENSE SERVER

If you are running a network license you will need to goto www.solidworks.com register you serial number, they will send you a license file via email. Once received Goto i386\swlicmgr folder your DVD run the installer on your license server once installed load the file into the app.

SOFTWARE PACKAGE

Load the DVD this will open the swlauncher.exe from the root.

From the menu select Administrator Tools, This will extract the relevant msi for the type of install you want to perform.

Once complete you will need to add an MST to include the license server info(if you have one)

Add the following key to your MST
HKLM\FLEXlm License ManagerString
Name: SW_D_LICENSE_FILE
Value: 25734@YourServerName

The value of the string depends on your config the default port is 25734 and of course yourservername is the name of yourserver. I put the key in the I386_ProgramFiles Feature.
