Just run the .EXE with the switches you want:

The list with available switches can be found here: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/install/config.html#installing_with_config_file

  • Unfortunately, that still (eventually) leaves your users with the wretched "Your JRE is out of date" message. There's no alternative but to create the deployment files and deploy them using a transform against the extracted MSI.

Script
WORKS with all versions of java
Hello, i prefer to script the update of java because i can inform people on her computer to close our java applications in our company.
So when they click to update, i force close the applications if needed then use the exe given by sun.
Than, for the installation, i prefer to use a java.settings.cfg file created by myself.

Here the java.settings.cfg
INSTALL_SILENT=1
WEB_ANALYTICS=0
AUTO_UPDATE=0
WEB_JAVA=1
EULA=0
REBOOT=0
SPONSORS=0
REMOVEOUTOFDATEJRES=1

Then i inform people they can continue to work with java applications.

Best regards
