* InDesign does not seem to use the abcpy.ini file as some of the other Adobe products do.
* Straight transform for the base InDesign Install
* Adobe finally is calling the lower MSI packages for the install, so you don't have to load each package separately (meaning Adobe Product, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Help Center, Adobe Common files)
* The registration and auto updates can be cancelled using the same keys as Adobe Photoshop CS. I used the following keys:
1. Disable Adobe updater by adding the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Updater
Then add a Dvalue called: Enterprise and enter in a value of 00000001
2. Suppress registration dialog box:
Add following 4 keys under (Adobe site is off a little bit)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\[ProductCode]
a. "EPIC_REGS_TYPE"=DWORDValue00000004
b. "EPIC_REGS_STATE"=dword00000002
c. "EPIC_REGS_LANG"=dword00000000
d. "EPIC_REGS_COUNT"=dword00000000
The Updater is unfortunately not an MSI-Patch (MSP). However it is quite easy to update an administrative installation: Just start the Updater.exe on any machine and go to the temp folder of the logged on user. Look for a newly created subfolder with the Folders "OEM_" and "OEM SHARED" in it. Copy the whole folder to an other location.
Afterwards you have to manually copy the contents of each folder below "OEM_" to it's counterpart in the directory structure of "program files" of the admin installation point. Just overwrite all the original files. Do the same with the only file below the "OEM SHARED" structure, put it on the right place under "commonfilesinstaller".
