Zonelabs Integrity Client 4.5.114

The Knowledgebase includes instructions for ZoneLabs Integrity Client 3.x but not for 4.x

Again, this app installs fine but I am having problems getting it uninstalled.

I am unable to kill the processes iclient.exe and vsmon.exe not matter what I try and this prevents any possibility of uninstallation ... it also seems like this app does not install a service so that can not be the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas?

We use IC 4.5 at my work. I know that it prompts Yes/No to stop the service when running the interactive uninstall. My guess is that there might be an optional property in the MSI to force that to "yes" to continue on, but I could be wrong. If you figure that out, please post back to let the rest of us know?

It turns out that it is part of the base build in the company and is not to be removed. They do not want the app to be uninstallable and after working at it for the last couple of days I do not mind setting it up that way.

The best I could do as far as uninstalling was to stop the services, take the run entry from the registry, restart the computer and then continue with the uninstall. Did not work for us as we have a policy that the only restarts are to be via SMS delivery.

If anybody does work out how to uninstall this app cleanly without a restart then please let us know.

Cheers

I am having a similar issue during uninstall. I can make the uninstall silent other than a dialog that appears at the end to unload the iclient settings on uninstall. Has anyone found a solution to this?
