XP unattended stops before GUI-Mode
Hey there!
Got a little problem - we are building an unattended XPSP2-Setup which worked great for about 2 Weeks, today we tried to set up a new system and the setup causes the system to loop-boot right at the point where Setup reboots to enter the GUI-mode..
We didn`t really change anything, the only difference to the systems we deployed before is, that the ones we are about to deploy now are IDE-bus-based in stead of SATA - this should´t cause this problem though, because driver installation doesn´t start befor the GUI part of the setup..
Please help, I´m quite lost..

Does this unattended image still work on your old systems? If it does, then maybe the problem IS with the IDS vs. SATA bus. We use a reg script that we call mergeide.reg (see below). We also make sure we rebuild the mass storage device, which may be what you are looking for. If you "Google" rebuild mass storage you may find more information about the process.
