xp installer error 1401
msg: 1401
ERROR DURING INSTALL COULD NOT CREATE KEY
HKEY USERS S-1-5-21-2000478354-1788225648-682003330-103\SOFTWARE\CLASSES when installing some ( not all) non MS apps using an account that has admistrator rights.
I have read the MS KB articles pertaining to this error that say how to change permissions in the registry, but this has not resolved issue.
I am able to log on as another user with admin rights, install same program, and will not have the problem.
I'd like to try and fix whatever is wrong with the user having these issues, instead of deleting and creating another account...
any registry guru's out there?

Looks like you are trying to write to a particular users registry hive, instead of just writing to HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
